Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled, “Give Yourself A Break.” The text of the message is from John 10:10. “The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we can have life and have it in abundance to the full until it overflows.”
Pastor Joyce teaches us in this message why we should give ourselves breaks in life. She asked us, “How do we feel when we see our child happy and enjoying themselves vs. how do we feel when we see them sad and depressed? If we, as human beings, feel that way about our children, how do you suppose that God feels? One of the problems that some people have is that they don’t really believe or know that God approves of them enjoying their lives.
Most of us miss our lives because we are in difficult situations but don’t have to deal with them. Some people feel that they please people better when they are working or not taking care of themselves. When we don’t enjoy our lives, it will come to a point where we feel guilty when we try with them. Some people feel that they please people better when they are working or not taking care of themselves. When we don’t enjoy our lives, it will come to a point where we feel guilty when we try. We have to find a balance when it comes to giving ourselves breaks and working; we have to work when it’s necessary and we have to take breaks when they’re needed. No matter how much you clean a house, there will be dirt the next day. You will work better and more efficiently if you take breaks and do things that you enjoy.
We will be amazed at what taking a five-minute break can do for us. Five-minute vacations can restore you, refresh you, and literally help you enjoy your day. Even though a lot of it is just taking care of mundane things, we live a natural life, but God adds a super to it, so you can live an ordinary life and even have a problem and still enjoy yourself.
