Joyce Meyer: Sowing & Reaping – Part 1

Here is a message from Joyce Meyer, which is titled, “Sowing and Reaping, Part 1.”

Pastor Joyce teaches us in this message that we have to know that life goes by so quickly that we really do need to make sure that we enjoy every day. Don’t waste any day being angry at someone, jealous, or even frustrated; just be at peace and know that God loves you. Make a decision that you’re going to have a great attitude about today, whatever you need to do. You may have some kind of project coming up that you dread; don’t even do that; just have a good attitude, know that God’s with you, and do it unto him.

We have to understand that there is a seed time and a harvest time in life because very often, when you plant your seed, whether it’s a financial seed or an attitude seed, your thoughts and words become the seeds. There is some time that goes by before you get a harvest. When a farmer plants a seed, he doesn’t get a crop right away; he has to be patient. The Bible actually says that he keeps up his patient vigil over it until he gets the harvest, so he waters it, he keeps the weeds pulled, he takes care of it, but all the while he does it in hope and in faith, believing that he’s going to get a harvest. So, no matter what, when you plant a seed, you should always remain hopeful. We always reap what we sow in life. Galatians 6:7: “Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked; a man reaps what he sows.”

Sowing money is giving to the work of the kingdom, but that’s not the only thing because everything that we do really is a seed that we sow. If you’re friendly, you’re more likely to have more friends. We have to be mindful of all the things that we do in life.
