Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled, “Stages of Pregnancy.” The text for the message is from the book of 1 John 3:9.
If one born or begotten of God deliberately or habitually practices sin because God’s nature abides in him, that doesn’t mean you can’t sin because we all make mistakes and sin, but the person who loves Jesus Christ is so quick to repent the minute the person sins. When you are born again, you get a new nature, which is God’s nature, and his character will come to live in you.
We are expected to be different and live a different life, and Jesus said, “If they hated me, they’re going to hate you.” If you’re expecting to be a full-on committed fruit-bearing Christian, people are not going to like you because your presence convicts them. If you compromise your morals to keep them comfortable, they will not like you either.
We are pregnant with God’s nature; there is a seed of the almighty God that dwells in the womb of our spirit; the holy spirit has come to live inside our spirit, and everything in our spirit is holy. The holy spirit comes committed to working with us for the rest of the time to help us get what’s in us so we can show the seed out. We can’t show the seed of God that is inside of us without the help of the Holy Spirit. When we have the seed (a dream) inside our womb, we have to be patient and faithful because Satan is the one who came up with the idea of abortion of dreams, and he is a dream thief. The devil wants us to abort our dream, and it can only happen when we don’t work with the Holy Spirit. We need to be committed.
