Joyce Meyer: Thoughts and Words (pt 2)

Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled Thoughts and Words. She teaches us that some Christians reason themselves out of doing what God is telling them to do, and we have to be careful about that. There are many areas where reasoning is unnecessary and causes confusion. When you have a problem and you need an answer, the answer is going to come from God, but if your mind is full of unnecessary reasoning, it’s going to be difficult to hear from God.

We have to keep our minds and spirits quiet so that we can hear what God is saying to us. God speaks to us in many different ways. God loves us so much, and we have to love other people. She said that some people need to feel love and not hear it because of what they might have experienced in the past.  When you do good things for people because of God, they will want to know God. The bible says, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he’s thirsty, give him something to drink.”

We are not owners of anything; we don’t deserve anything that God does for us, but he does it because he loves us; we have to keep that in mind. She points out that we need to remember that we’re here for a purpose, and the purpose is to work with God to expand the kingdom of God.

We can’t expand the kingdom of God by just preaching, we need to show people love. When you start loving people, God will use us and make us change someone’s life. We have to listen to God, and we have to obey him. We should make being generous part of our lifestyle. When being generous becomes your lifestyle, you will become happy because God is generous.
