Lakewood Church, a non-denominational evangelical Christian megachurch led by pastor Joel Osteen, has celebrated its 9th annual Champion Club Banquet.
The event themed “Under the Sea,” which was organized by Champions Club, a special needs ministry of Lakewood Church, seeks to honor all individuals with special needs. It was held on November 4.
The banquet turned out to be a huge success, with families all over the area coming together to celebrate their champions.
Photos from the event, which were shared Monday on Lakewood’s Instagram page, revealed a fun-filled event. It features several fun activities, including singing, dancing, and lots more.
“We had an incredible time celebrating our champions in an Under the Sea adventure,” the caption of the Instagram photos read.
The ministry expressed gratitude to families who made the successful event worthwhile. “Our 9th Annual Champion Club Banquet celebrated families with special needs; we’re grateful for all the families who brought the party!”
In a statement shared on the Instagram page of Champion Club, they acknowledged having a blast following the party.
“The 9th annual Champions Club Banquet made quite a splash. Thank you to all our beautiful families for bringing the party. Under the sea of twinkling lights, we danced, we ate, we laughed, and had a blast!
Who is ready for Banquet number 10 next year,” the statement read.
Champion Club, according to its website, is a special needs ministry of Lakewood Church specializing in ministering to kids, teens, and adults with special needs and the medically fragile and designing developmental areas for kids, teens, and adults with special needs and the medically fragile.
