“Many Pastors Are Possessed” – Prophet Lovy: The senior pastor of Revelation Church, Prophet Lovy Elias has made a very statement. Prophet Lovy in an interview stated that many pastors are possessed and influenced by the spirit of shame.
He pointed that when you have sinned, that these Pastors prefer to hang you in public. The reason they do this is to validate their own righteousness. However, what they don’t realize is that in the process of shaming you, they are destroying every credibility that you will ever have to serve God.
Teaching from the story of Mary Magdelene, the prostitute that was dragged before Jesus. Magdalene was caught in the act and by the laws of Moses, she was to be stoned to death. However,jesus made a statement that made her accusers flee. According to Prophet Lovy, after her accusers had left, Jesus turned to her and told her to go and sin no more. Jesus told Magdalene that he does not condemn her.
Prophet Lovy added that from the story, what we can glean is that Jesus treats sin public. He said that if Jesus had confronted her in public, she would have been stoned. Unfortunately, a lot of pastors are possessed by the spirit of shame.
Speaking further, the prophet added that It is unbiblical for someone who has made a mistake to publicly apologize to people. Repentance is unto God, and not unto you (the public). He went further to also add that that pastors are not the only ones possessed by the spirit of shame.
Lovy mentioned that people who look for people’s mistake to create content of it are also possessed by the spirit of shame.
