Max Lucado Sermons – When You Think You’re Past Your Prime

Max Lucado Sermons When You Think You’re Past Your Prime

The Oak Hills Church shares this new sermon by Pastor Max Lucado titled “When You Think You’re Past Your Prime” which we are bringing to you to listen to and meditate on.

Here is to you who think that you are past your prime, that your best days are behind you. That is not so. The story of Moses is one we will pick our lesson from. God used Moses at a point in his life when he never imagined it.

Right from birth to the palace of Pharaoh to killing the Egyptian then to hiding in the wilderness. He moved from 100 to 0 plus he never intended to return to Egypt after the news of his atrocity broke out.

When God met Moses, he asked a question “Why Him?”. Looking at Moses at the time God met him, he was in his 80s and there was likely that he would make no impact.  He even argued with God that he was of no use for the assignment.

Nevertheless, God used him still. what did Moses learn that made God want to use him at that point in his life? Number 1 is that he now has an idea what it feels like to live in the wilderness because he was going to lead the children through the desert. God wanted Moses to learn about himself and he had to learn for 4 Decades.

Take the words of Philippians 1:6; “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” This is God’s promise to you.

God is not finished with you yet. You may think you are past your prime but God is not done yet.
