The message started with a definition of what “cuffing season” means. There are things that believers are cuffed to, and we need to uncuff ourselves from them. They are those things that we love, but they do not love us back. Those things that we need to let go of because they are no longer serving us.
One thing that God wants for us is to be set free. However, there are things to which we have the keys, however, there are things to which we have the keys. It is not bad to be tied to something that is prosperous and good for us. The sad truth is that most of us are tied to things that do not love us back.
If we are not careful, we are going to find that we start having emotional bonds with things that have us bound. The result is that we start making our prayers and asking God for these things that are related to things we are emotionally bound to.
The question : are you going to stay cuffed, or find freedom in Jesus? Pastor Mike teaches us in this message, about the dangers of cocky Christianity. God has made promises to us. But we often can’t step into those promises because we won’t give up control.
