Priscilla Shirer is an American author, motivational speaker, actress, and Christian media personality, and evangelist. Her father is Dallas mega-church pastor Tony Evans and her brother is musician Anthony Evans. Her sister is Chrystal Evans Hurst.
Biography
Priscilla Evans was raised in a strong Christian home and is the daughter of Tony Evans, senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas.She worked as an intern for a Christian radio station during her first year at the University of Houston.
The station soon received calls from listeners asking Priscilla to speak at their Bible study groups and other gatherings.
The Zig Ziglar Corporation soon asked her to lead a weekly Bible study before inviting her to join its speaking roster.
Priscilla has hosted a local television show and worked as an independent contractor for CBS, but lately she has only been interested in Christian ministry prospects.
She refers to the evangelist Rev. Billy Graham’s daughter Anne Graham Lotz as her mentor in the ministry.

Education
Shirer graduated from Duncanville High School and Dallas Theological Seminary, getting a master’s degree from the latter in Biblical Studies.
In 1993, Shirer was a freshman at the University of Houston.
Family Life
Shirer married former Hilton Hotels executive Jerry Shirer in 1999. Three sons were born to the couple.
Going Beyond Ministries was started by the Shirers and Priscilla as a speaking agency.
The Shirers, who are the parents of three young boys, split their time between ministry and family duties.
Jerry oversees Going Beyond Ministries’ other business operations while Priscilla continues to serve as a full-time minister.
Career
Priscilla gives speeches at churches and other gatherings all around the world, including the Going Beyond conference, which is sponsored by LifeWay Christian Resources, and Deeper Still: The Event, where she appears on stage alongside Beth Moore and Kay Arthur.
She has written other books as well.
Shirer delivered a speech during the 2013 Women of Faith gathering. Also, Shirer made her acting debut in the Kendrick Brothers movie War Room in 2015. She was honored as one of four notable religious leaders in October 2016 at The Potter’s House at the celebration of the program’s 10th anniversary, God’s Leading Ladies Life Enrichment. The 47th GMA Dove Awards also included Shirer as a speaker.
Serving believers from every faith and cultural background through Going Beyond Ministries is something she values highly. The ministry, which was started by Jerry and Priscilla about twenty years ago, equips believers through books, resources for Bible study, conferences, and movies like War Room (2015), I Can Only Imagine (2017), and Overcomer (2019).
Our hometown’s AWAKEN outreach event, organized by Going Beyond Ministries, aims to inspire and activate women there. Numerous times a year, this free event draws together hundreds of women in the Dallas-Fort Worth area from various backgrounds and denominations to support one another and pray for the city.

Priscilla has written more than a dozen Bible studies on a variety of Biblical figures and topics for women and teenagers, including Jonah, Gideon, the Exodus, discerning God’s voice, The Armor of God and, her latest study – Elijah: Faith and Fire. She also has a new book : Fervent; A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer
Her trade books include Discerning the Voice of God, God is Able, and two New York Times Bestsellers – The Resolution for Women and Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer, which was named the 2016 Christian Book of the Year.
Her latest offering is a 365-day devotional called Awaken: 90 Days with the God Who Speaks. Priscilla entered the realm of children’s publishing in 2016. with The Prince Warriors, a fiction 4-book series and accompanying 365-day devotional (Unseen) designed to equip tween boys and girls for victory in spiritual warfare.
