Sermon by Pastor Michael Phillips: The Promise in Process

This is a sermon by Pastor Michael Phillips titled “The Promise in Process” where he teaches that we are like a small mustard seed that grows into a powerful tree. He said that while we see the tree as a destination, God sees it as a process that pushes us into new territories with treacherous terrains that transform us into people with strong faith. He said we should get ready for God to shape our destiny and reject stagnancy in our history, for He will manifest our promise from His process. This message is taken from the book of Isaiah 54:1-5, 17 (KJV).

He said he is dropping you into the middle of drama that’s taken place in the lives of the children of Israel without you having the proper understanding. The children of Israel are in a place that was prophesied and it is a painful place but it is also a place of promise. What do you do when God speaks concerning your life and then shows you the painful parts? The prophecy for them being there wasn’t given to them but it was given to their forefathers namely Abraham; that they would be a great people in the great nation. He said  there’s some darkness and greatness you can never be great unless you’re willing to endure the darkness. That is a part of the journey for your greatness.
