Stephen Chandler Sermons – The Fiction of Faith

Stephen Chandler Sermons The Fiction of Faith

Today we bring you a message by Pastor Stephen Chandler on a topic “The Fiction of Faith”. The text for the scripture is taken from the book of John 2:1-10. This message is the week 1 of the message series “Now Faith”.

Is faith really what you think? Is it a hope and wish or really the substance of things hoped for?

Faith is the most valuable thing you will have as a believer because you have no access to God aside faith. Faith is not just hoping and wishing that God will do something. Christians have a misconception about what faith is. Faith is not emotion, faith is not optimism.

Faith is the only way we received salvation. Salvation did not come through doing good works. After the salvation, you do not keep it on the shelf. It is something God has given you to work with everday.

There are three components to faith:

1. Faith is knowing that he can. Hebrews 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

2. Faith knows he cares

3. Faith knows he will.

This is a message that you learn a lot about faith from.
