Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Steven Furtick titled, “God Goes Before You In Uncertain Situations.”
Pastor Steven teaches us in this message that we have to know and believe that God goes before us in any situation. The amount of faith you have in your steps relates to the amount of faith you have in his sovereignty. When we tell God why he can’t use us, we have to know that he already knew that. We just have to step in and do what God wants us to do, because he will make you strong. God, who knew you’d be in the situation you are in before you were in the situation, prepared you for the moment before you got to the brink.
You have to step forward to be the best version of yourself, no matter the situation. The Bible says that when their feet touched the water’s edge, the water stood up, meaning they had to step all the way toward the Jordan, and only when their big toe got wet did it break apart. That’s where they saw the miracle: when they stepped toward the uncertainty, that’s where you’re going to see the miracle. As you step into it, awkward and uncomfortable, as you keep coming, keeping digging, keeping going, keeping flowing, keeping showing up, keeping that feeling fruitless because you know God told you to do it, we have to know that God will tell us to do something that makes no sense to us, but we have to trust him and do it.
You’ll know you are there when it happens—when the miracles happen. God is not going to show anything until you take a step of faith. It’s true they did not see it until they stepped into it. That’s when God cut off the waters and enabled them to cross. In verse 16, it says, “The water from upstream stopped flowing.
