Wade Joye is an American preacher, speaker, coach and author. He is the host of the podcast “Dreamers and the Disciples” and a former worship leader at Elevation.
Biography
Pastor Wade Joye is from Columbia in the United States. He moved to Charlotte in 2007 to help build Elevation Worship without knowing anyone in the city. He had to ask his friends from Columbia to drive in just so they would have a full roster. As the church grew rapidly, more people were added to the team.
For Wade, worship ministry was all about chasing his dreams of leading songs, writing music, and being on albums. But he had no idea that none of those dreams would be what truly brought fulfillment or defined success. However, Joye has learned that while those may be tools God gives some churches to reach people, they aren’t the measure of true success or fulfillment in ministry.
According to Wade, “I saw the truth of what I learned from Pastor Steven at Elevation—that mature ministry is being more excited about what God does through others than what He does through yourself.”

For almost 15 years, Pastor Wade was the worship pastor at Elevation Church, the location of Elevation Worship.When Elevation Church had two campuses that met in high schools, he served as the worship pastor.
Under his direction, Elevation Worship published songs and albums and had a global ministry with 20 campuses.
Wade began a new season of ministry at the end of 2021, traveling the nation to speak and mentor ministry leaders. One interesting thing about Wade is that he is passionate about assisting individuals in creating and upholding regular spiritual routines and disciplines that support a sound heart and soul.
Wade contributed to the writing of several of the earlier Elevation Worship songs, including “O Come To The Altar,” “Resurrecting,” and many others.
He led the teams that carried out the weekend worship experience, oversaw service programming, and mentored college pastors on their stage hosting and preaching while serving on Elevation’s general leadership team. Wade regularly delivered sermons on the Elevation main stage.
In addition, Wade led the record label and touring teams, and in addition to fostering a culture of worship throughout all Elevation locations, he played a crucial role in creating the systems that allowed Elevation Worship music to be distributed globally.
