Amy Grant is an iconic pop star, songwriter, TV personality, and philanthropist with a career that spans 40 years. She has won six GRAMMY Awards and 26 Dove Awards and has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Music City Walk of Fame, and the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. Her chart success has included six No. 1 hits, 10 Top 40 pop singles, 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary tracks, and multiple Contemporary Christian chart-toppers.

In 2016, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her hit “Baby Baby” with a worldwide release, and in 2021, she released a double-disc 35th Anniversary Edition of her 5x platinum album, Heart In Motion. 2022 marks the anniversaries of her platinum-selling classic “Age To Age” album and the gold-selling “Behind The Eyes” album. The T.J. Martell Foundation honored Grant with the Tony Martell Outstanding Entertainment Achievement Award at their 2020 Honors Gala.

Grant’s goal was to become the first Christian singer-songwriter who was also successful as a contemporary pop singer. This was the reason she deviated for a while into pop music. Unguarded (1985) was successful with its mainstream sound and leopard-print jacket. “Find a Way” from Unguarded hit the Billboard Top 40 and No. 7 on the Adult Contemporary chart. She also scored her first Billboard No. 1 song in 1986 with “The Next Time I Fall”.

Grant returned to Christian pop with the 2002 release of an album of hymns titled Legacy: Hymns and Faith. The album featured a Vince Gill-influenced mix of bluegrass and pop and marked Grant’s 25th anniversary in the music industry. Grant followed this up with Simple Things in 2003. The album did not have the success of her previous pop or gospel efforts. Soon after Simple Things, Grant and Interscope/A&M parted ways. The same year, Grant was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame by the Gospel Music Association, an industry trade organization of which she is a longstanding member, in her first year of eligibility. Grant released a sequel in 2005 titled Rock of Ages: Hymns and Faith.
