According to the Bible, Jesus was arrested by Roman authorities and sentenced to death by crucifixion. Jesus was the fulfillment of what happened on Golgotha’s hill when Abraham was getting ready to kill his son Isaac, and so God said, Hold on; there’s coming a time when Jesus will die to bring salvation. This event is considered the central event of the Christian faith, as it’s believed that Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind.

It’s considered a solemn day for Christians around the world to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made for humanity and to remember his suffering on the cross. For some Christians, it is a day for celebrating the salvation and love of God. Some Christians observe this day by fasting, praying, and attending church services.
- is a day of redemption: The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, considered the ultimate act of redemption, is the day of our deliverance and is redeemed by the blood of the lamb from sins, sickness, diseases, shame, and condemnation.
