Pastor Dollar shared with us why we have to be spiritually mature as believers in Christ. When we gave our lives to Christ, there were some changes that were expected in our lives. We have to be spiritually mature so that we can have a close relationship with God. When we get spiritually mature, we will understand why it’s really important to depend on God and not on ourselves. Most of us think that maturing spiritually is going to be hard, but God is not asking us to do the work but to depend on him. God has accepted the responsibility to live in you, walk in you, and work in you. God is the one that we have to depend on.
God said that he’s going to give us the fruits of the spirit, and for us to bear fruit in our lives, we have to depend on him. God is working on the inside of each of us, and he’s producing the fruit of love, peace, and kindness. If we stick with God, we’ll learn how to show kindness and love to people. God will work on the inside of us, and then it will show on the outside. We are the children of God, and he wants us to be spiritually mature so that we can have a deeper relationship with him. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are given to us by God so that we can be better people and grow.
