We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “The Conditions for Acceptable Good Works.” Sunday Service The text for the message is from Ephesians 2:10. “says for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, so we’re created in Christ Jesus unto good work, so that’s important, and God has before ordained that we should walk in those good works.”
Pastor Dollar teaches us in this Sunday service about devotion and love for Christ versus service and labor for Christ. People are into doing good works, but they don’t have any love or devotion for God. There are a lot of organizations around the world that are into doing good work but have no love for God.
From God’s own mouth and heart, he prefers that you have devotion and love for him, and then, out of devotion and love for him, the good works. But God is not telling us to pick one over the other; he wants the good work we are doing to be a result of the love and devotion we have for him. What are the conditions for good works that will be acceptable to God? A lot of Christians feel that they have to do good work in order to get God’s favor, but that is very wrong. We should do good work because of the love we have for God. No one is saying good works are not important, but there are good works that are accepted by God and there are good works, no matter how good they are, that are not accepted by God.
The last thing we want to do is stand before God and find out that our long list of good works was never accepted by him. We have to understand that good works are vital and very important, but without certain conditions being in place, they’re just not going to be acceptable to God. There are Christians who do a lot of good things but have no devotion to God and no relationship with Him. We are God’s masterpiece; he has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so for you to say that good works are not a part of the Christian life is for you to deny the very purpose for which you were created.
