The prominent senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, based in Riverside, California, Greg Laurie offers condolence to the families of the five dead Titanic wreckage explorers.

In a Friday Instagram update, Laurie expressed sympathy to the family of the five crew members on board the missing Titan Submersible who were declared dead following a “catastrophic implosion.”

“May the ‘God of all comfort’ be with those who lost loved ones aboard the submarine exploring the Titanic,” Laurie wrote.

“I prayed those on board called on the Lord and if they did, I know the Lord heard them. The Bible says, ‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved’, he added quoting a scripture verse. (Rom.10:13) That is true for all of us, wherever we are,” he added.

On Sunday morning, a submersible Titan that took a group of five men two miles down in the ocean to view the wreckage of the Titanic was declared missing after it lost communication with its mothership 1 hour 45 minutes into the approximately 2 hours dive.

A Rescue mission however was set to rescue the passenger. The mission was unsuccessful as the crew members were declared dead on Thursday after a “catastrophic implosion.”

At the time of the search, Greg Laurie solicited prayers for their rescue In a Tuesday Instagram video. The Harvest Crusades  founder noted the breaking news was “scary” and “heartbreaking.”

“I think of these people in this tiny submarine which is effectively the size of a minivan who may have lost power. They certainly don’t have communication. So I think we need to pray for these rescue efforts. We need a miracle to get these people out of these alive,” Laurie said in the video,
