I’ve Dealt With My Share of Criticism and Judgement – Joyce Meyer

I’ve dealt with my share of criticism and judgment for no reason other than because I am a woman” Joyce  Meyer said in the spirit of International Women’s Day.

Joyce Meyer, the  President of Joyce Meyer Ministry has gone public with her ordeal as a woman in ministry.   She made this known on her Instagram handle. This, however, was in commemoration of International Women’s Day.

She in her statement made known that while in ministry she had been reproved and misconceived on several occasions. This however according to her was for no reason other than her being a woman.

She went on to talk about how she’d fought to break loose the misconception of being a ‘normal’ woman. The ‘normal’ woman misconception she however disclosed had then posed limitations to her dreams. In addition,, Joyce Meyer put to air that presently, she is pleased to be proactive about her dreams.

“I can remember feeling that I wasn’t  ‘normal’ because I was aggressive, had dreams and goals, and wanted to do great things. I keep trying to settle down and be a ‘normal’ woman, but it just never worked for me ” she said.

Furthermore, she stated that many women are still discouraged owing to underlying gender discrimination. Consequently,  they are imposed with the challenge of limitation and low esteem.

Conclusively Meyer admonished gender discrimination, advising that gender is not a determinant factor for one’s value but rather God is.

“Our gender does not determine our value; our God does. We are all one in Christ Jesus, and we should treat one another accordingly”

Following the post, people reacted in the comment section, applauding her for her resilience and determination as well as for putting up the post.
