Pastor Joel teaches us in this message about keeping the right identity. We have all been in situations that have changed our minds. We have to know what God has said about us, and that is what we have to believe. When we believe what God has said about us, that will help us keep our identity. God has put dreams in our hearts; we are standing on his promises, knowing that we are blessed, but most times the circumstances are the opposite. It is easy to let our environment change our identity. We all know that God calls us a masterpiece, valuable, fearfully, and wonderfully made, but when we go through bad situations, we tend to forget God’s promises. When people don’t treat you right, or maybe they walk away, we lose who we are. We let our circumstances change how we see ourselves. We have to feel good about ourselves and know that God created us so wonderfully that we should not let the environment change who we are in Christ Jesus.
Don’t let your situations make you feel that you are not good enough or attractive. We can achieve all the dreams that God has put in our hearts. When God puts a dream in your heart to take your family to the next level and set a new standard, we have to know that we are difference-makers and well-equipped. Sometimes the door for achieving our dreams is not yet open and nobody supports us, making it easier to feel bad and give up on our dreams. We have to know that not everyone is going to support your dreams, and not every situation will be in your favor, but we have to be strong in God, knowing that he is able to take care of all that concerns us. Trusting in God and believing his promises is the only way that we can keep the identity that God has for us.
