Joyce Meyer: Thoughts, Words and Health (Part 2)

Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled “Thoughts, Words, and Health.” If you want to relieve some of the stress in your life, just slow down. Every thought and every word is a seed that produces something in our lives. We have to have confidence in God’s loving care; the more we know that God loves us, the better we will understand that. “Cast your care on him, for he cares for you,” the Bible says.

There is nothing worse than feeling bad all the time. God wants us to feel good so we can be energetic and passionate, enjoy life, and enjoy doing things. When we are all stressed out, it makes us cranky and hard to get along with, and it might give us headaches and stomach aches and all kinds of sicknesses.

Only when your mind is at rest can our body build health. If we are sick and we are walking with God to get healed, one thing we need to learn to do is not “worry,” not even about our health.

Worry is an actively destructive force; anxiety produces tension, and tension is the road to pain; fear is devastating to the well-being of the physical body; anger throws poison into our system that no antibiotic can heal, and it affects our health.

Proverb 14:30 says, “A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness to the bones.” We should not spend our time in anger or having unforgiveness in us because all things are not bearing fruit and we need to cut them out and give ourselves time.

The more we do the more we get addicted to doing,  there are negative emotions that can after our health” anger, jealousy, self pity, unforgiveness, hatred, resentment, fear, bitterness, discouragement, despair, hopelessness, discontent, complaining and judgment, criticism, our physical energy is a gift from God and trusted to us to be employed for his glory
