Pastor John Gray: Playing It Safe

Pastor John Gray: Playing It Safe

Pastor John Gray has a wonderful message for us, titled “Playing It Safe.” The text for this message is from the book of Hebrews 11:31, a passage that talks about faith and men of faith. Pastor Gray laid emphasis on chapter 38 of Hebrew 11.

In this message, Pastor Gray teaches that preachers have presented the church as the one-stop shop for all our problems. However, the truth is that we leave and remain just the same. If there is anything we should know, it is that God did not design the church to solve our problems. The blood will wash away your sins, but it is the church community that will help you grow.

The passage read is talking about what it takes to please God. It also talks about what God does when you step out in faith. Christians should be tired of living life beneath its dangers. You are not going to stir the pot if you feel satisfied and comfortable.

Comfortable, Safe, and Satisfied are the enemies of greatness. The reason God has not allowed us to be satisfied is that being comfortable will make us not look forward to the next thing he wants to do.

It is time that we live dangerously. We have been playing it too safe. Do not bother with what people are going to think; otherwise, you will die mediocre.

If you are going to live dangerously are a few things we should do:

1. Take chances; We avoid taking chances because it makes us feel safe. Faith is the opposite of safe. There is no way God will unlock our gifts if we do not take chances.

2. Give yourself the permission to fail: This is important because most people don’t try because they are afraid to fail.

3. If you fail, Learn The Lessons, Get Up And Try Again

4. When You Succeed, Give God The Glory, And Bless The People Who Are Connected To You.
