Here is the second part of the message by Pastor Rick Warren which is titled “How Can I Walk By Faith? (Pt.2)”
Continuing from the other message Pastor Rick give us another quality of faith. he said that faith is giving even when you do not have it.
Giving and faith go hand in hand. There are more promises about giving in the bible than anything else. Why? Because God wants us to be like him.
You cannot love without giving. God uses finances to test faith than anything. Even in the hall of faith in the book of Hebrew 11, the first person gets mentioned is Abel. It is because his faith was judged by his giving.
God does not look at how much you give. The left over is what he looks at.
Pastor Rick tell us that there are way in which you give; By Faith/Fear or Reason/Revelation.
Anyone can give by Reason and it does not require faith at all. Giving by revelation is all about faith. It is asking God; “How Much Do You Want Me To Trust You?”
He added that people may not get to experience that comes with giving joyful giving. Joy will come when you understand sacrificial giving and faith. Sacrificial giving is that giving that makes you afraid. It is the giving that pushes you out of your comfort zone.
One thing Christians must understand is that you cannot out-give God. You cannot imagine what God can do until you learn to trust him in the area of giving .
Money is the acid test of faith.
