Peter Toganivalu Sermons Immovable
The Hillsong Church brings us a new message by Pastor Peter Toganivalu which is titled “Immovable”.
Have you ever drifted off course for something you have always been on course for? Life throws challenges and we lose sight of it. Isaiah 56: 2 Pastor Toggs tell us in this message that God is one who will not lose sight of us.
If there is one thing God wants from us is that we remain steadfast and immovable in faith. Even if we lose grip, we can always come back on course and remain immovable. The promise of God in Isaiah 26:3 is that hewill keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
In the book of I Cor 15:58 the bible says ” Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” The summary is that you need to be intentional about being immovable. You cannot leave faith alone but put in a conscious effort about being immovable.
If you are going to live a life immovable in faith, here are three things that you can do:
- Plant it. Strong trees have strong root systems and that is how we can remain immovable in faith. There are four promises for those who are planted, they will flourish, they will bear fruit, they prosper and they will stay fresh – Psalm 1,92.
- Anchored. We need an anchor for our soul and that anchor is found in Jesus and not anywhere. If we do not anchor our lives then we drift away from the Lord.
- Hold on – Hebrew 10:22 tell us that – let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hold on to Jesus as your Lord and personal savior and never let go.
Pastor Toggs tell us that as we are holding on to Gos, he is also holding on to us. He is that faithful.
