Robert Morris saddened By Nashville School shooting

Robert Morris was saddened by Nashville private Christian elementary School Shooting, as 6 were killed, including children.

Pastor Robert Morris, the senior pastor of Gateway Church has expressed his sadness over the shooting which took place yesterday at Presbyterian-affiliated Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school located in Nashville.  BBC reports the suspect Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old ex-student of the school shot 3 adult staff and 3 school children.

The tragedy however caught the interest of many, including the US president, Joe Biden who described it as “Family’s worst nightmare”. Pastor Robert in his opinion, stated in an Instagram post that he was saddened.

He went ahead to state that unfortunate occurrences in the world remain incomprehensible. In addition, Robert promulgated that people can turn to God instead. “My heart is so grieved for our nation following multiple mass shootings in recent days. We can’t begin to comprehend the evil and violence in our world, but we can turn to God.” He wrote.

Robert further prayed for the victims of the tragedy. “Lord we pray for every person affected by these tragedies.” He appealed, mentioning the students, staff, parents, and families. Furthermore, he extended the prayer to the responders on the scenes and the society at large. Appealing that God may comfort the victims and grant wisdom to the leaders in seeking solutions.

“We pray for the first responders on the scenes and our communities who are shaken. We ask for You to cover those grieving with the comfort and peace that only You can bring, and we seek Your wisdom for our nation and our leaders in figuring out a way forward. Bring peace, healing, and unity to our land.” He also shared a comforting bible verse “Psalm 34:18”
