Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message about a hardened heart and how, as Christians, we have to depend on God. We have to do like David did so that he will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. If we have a hardened heart, we have to know how we got it and how to get rid of it. The way your heart becomes hardened is by what you do not consider. Whatever you don’t consider, your heart will become hardened by that. If in life you don’t ever consider the word when situations come up and you don’t ever consider God when situations come up; it’s not even a thought, then your heart has been hardened towards God, and your heart has been hardened towards the word. What you focus your attention on, you’ll be sensitive to. We have to focus on God so that we can be sensitive to his word and his works. What you neglect, you’ll be hardened to, and what are the things that you’re neglecting that you’re not even sensitive to anymore?
If you neglect the word, there’s a cost that you have to pay for. If you neglect the word of God, if you neglect depending on God, if you neglect believing that God can do certain things, then your heart’s heart goes into it, and that’s what’s happening in the world today. People who don’t consider God, people who neglect God’s word, neglect the presence of God, neglect the wisdom of God, they become hardened to that, and then they begin to choose, in their consideration, God can heal you, the word can give you wisdom, why, because their heart has become hardened to
