We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “The Truth About God’s Ways.” Sunday Service. The text for the message is from Isaiah 55:8–9. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways.”
Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message about God’s way and man’s way. Sometimes we want to make God’s way like man’s way, but we have to know that both ways are different. The scripture says God is not a man that he should lie, but God is not a man that he should do almost anything like a man does it. We love taking human experiences and using them as examples to try to know the way of the Lord. We have to know that God has his own way of thinking and doing things. God has ways of prompting us to do right and live right. God’s ways of getting us to live godly
With fear to try to get you to act right, God says no; that’s man’s way. My way is higher, and my thoughts are higher. The reason for this is that under grace, God does everything except reward human merit. The word merit just simply means “deserving praise or reward,” so God does everything apart from humans deserving praise or deserving a reward. God does not always do things the way we always expect him to do them. So a man does things that you know you deserve. God says, “No, I’m doing things apart from you that deserve praise and deserve reward. God’s not giving you praise and rewards because you deserve them. He doesn’t have a fault for repayment; in other words, because you came to church today, he ain’t repaying you with anything because you came to church today. He can’t offer His blessings to influence someone to do something; that’s what it means to “induce, to influence someone to do something, so he’s going to bless you. Example: If God gives me the money to get my house, then I’m going to live right; you can’t do that; God cannot use his blessings as inducement.
