In this message, Pastor Joyce teaches the reason why we should get off our buts. There are things we know we can do, but we make excuses about them. We should stop giving excuses and do things for God. Stop giving excuses that you have kids or that you’re too old. No matter what age you are, you can still do something great by getting busy and doing something for God.
There are a lot of people in trouble, and there are a lot of people searching for answers, but God is the only answer. Sometimes we need to be pushed out of our comfort zone in order to get involved in something. We all have the tendency to not want to be involved. Jesus didn’t want to go to the cross; he didn’t want to go through all that suffering; it wasn’t something he was looking forward to, but he wanted to do what God asked of him.
To many people, you’re the only Jesus that they’re ever going to see. We have to do more than just talk about our religion; we’ve got to live it out in front of people, and there is a price to pay for that; it’s not always going to be comfortable. Many of us have been hurt by our parents, siblings, friends, teachers, or partners in the past. The Devil makes sure he gets his shot at all of us, and a lot of people just stay sick their whole lives and never recover because they don’t want to go through the pain of recovery. It’s not going to be easy to recover, but it’s really important that we heal so that we can do what God wants us to do. When we submit to God, he will change us beyond our imagination.
