Joyce Meyer: Psalm 23 (Part 2)

Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled “Psalm 23.”  The bible verse of Psalm 23 is the most common part of the bible that we all are familiar with: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in green pasture; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.” He refreshes and restores my life; he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. “Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil.”

“I shall not lack” does not mean that we are always going to have every single thing that we like the moment we want it, but it does mean that “while we are waiting on God to do the things that we would like him to do, we can still be content.”

We have to learn to be content with what we have, and being content can only come from trusting God. We should know what God wants us to do and believe that God will do his part; we can enter the rest of God when we know what to do and what not to do.

Entering the rest of God is a beautiful place because when we are in the rest of God, we trust that God is going to take care of things. We need to have faith and know that God is faithful and he will not let us down.

No matter the problem, God has the answer, and he has a plan, but when we’re all frustrated and upset, we can’t receive the guidance of God, and we need to enter the rest of God. God wants to renew our mind and teach us how to think the way he thinks; he wants us to use our free will and choose his will. We need to understand the power of our choices; we have to trust God; and we have to grow in our relationship with God.
