Lakepointe Church is an American Pentecostal that is spread across the country. The church has grown from 7 families in a bait house to thousands of people meeting each week in 25 services, 6 different locations and in 2 languages.
God has used LakePointe Church to plant 48 new churches in spiritually under-resourced regions in cities like Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, and San Francisco.
The church also has a school of ministry. To educate, prepare, and empower leaders to become psychologically, physically, and spiritually ready to carry out the Great Commission is the mission of Lakepointe School of Ministry. The School of Ministry provides the Church with leaders who have the moral fiber, technical know-how, and hands-on ministry experience needed to guide the next generation towards the Kingdom.
Beliefs
The LakePointe Church believes in the following:
JESUS CHRIST
They believe that during His First Advent, The Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily left the glories of Heaven, taking upon Himself full and perfect humanity in His incarnation.
SALVATION
They also believe salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ is a redemptive process wholly of God, in which believers participate solely on the basis of His grace through their faith in Jesus.
BAPTISM
Another belief is that baptism is a public proclamation of faith and new life in Jesus Christ. It is an outward public testimony of an inward invisible transformation.
PEOPLE
LakePointe believes that God created humans, both male and female, in His perfect image.
THE BIBLE
They take the 66 books, which compose the canon of Holy Scripture, to be the sole authority of their faith and practice.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
They believe the Holy Spirit permanently dwells in all believers, fulfilling His regenerating work of the new birth unto eternal life.

Lakepointe Pastor
Josh Howerton is the senior pastor of Lakepointe Church.
Before coming to Lakepointe Church, Josh was the Senior Pastor of The Bridge Church in Nashville, TN for 10 years.
He attended the Union University where he obtained a degree in Theological Studies. Further, he attended Southern Seminary.
Pastor Josh is married to Jana, whom he met on a blind date. The couple are blessed with three children – Eliana, Felicity Hope, and Hudson. Josh has an extraordinary passion for discipleship, training church leaders, and planting churches.
