Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Steven Furtick titled, “Wresting With Your Past.” Pastor Furtick teaches us that there is always a reason God allows us to go through bad times: so that we can get to know him better. When you go through difficult times, you will be stronger, wiser, and more prepared than you were before. We are taught to abandon our old way of life, but this can only be accomplished with the assistance of the Holy Spirit. We are taught to stop being negative and start being positive. Trust God with all your heart, and he will help you through the hard times because you cannot do it in your own strength.
Whoever Jesus has set free is indeed free, but you can’t do that without the help of the Holy Spirit. Some of us judge people based on their behaviors without knowing the brokenness that came from their background to create those behaviors to begin with. You can’t wrestle with your past without the help of God. Telling people what to do will not help them; they must be taught how to do it. In order for you to get rid of your old self that has been holding you back, you have to call on Jesus Christ. God loves us, and he’s willing to help us through the hard times; we just have to invite him into our situations.
When you face hard situations, don’t let them hold you back. Just call on God, and he will make a way for you, and you will be free. The Devil knows your weak spots, but he also knows there’s something in you that is so much greater. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you can overcome any obstacle and have your victory. Get up and go on with your life, living a happy life because Jesus has set you free. The plan that Jesus has for you is a plan of good and not of evil to give you a happy ending; there is a gift in you that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard. Jesus gave his life to redeem you from the shame that is in you. Call on Jesus when you are in trouble, don’t let the devil defeat you, and have a close relationship with him.
