Pastor Joseph teaches in this message that God wants you strong and healthy and living in the supernatural. The key to walking by faith is to treat those things that are not as though they were. You won’t believe them in your heart. That’s the spirit of faith: to appropriate anything that Jesus did for us at the cross. God says to give me your human strength, and I’ll give you divine strength. The power that’s now flowing through you is no longer natural; it is supernatural, and it is measured not by the natural law of physics but by the riches of his grace.
God has made it so easy for us to be filled and refilled with the Holy Spirit when he says, “Be filled with the spirit speaking to yourselves. Have you noticed that in Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all three are singing? In the Greek, it is the imperative: “Be and be present, being filled with the spirit.” Speaking the way you get filled constantly is speaking in Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, of course, and that includes praying in the spirit.
The New Testament way The New Covenant way of being filled with the spirit is just by singing; it’s very hard to sing and be depressed. Have confident expectations of good things in your future, and believe in God. Besides, we all know exercise is good, so put exercise aside. Besides exercise, good food, a right diet, and all that, what is one factor that contributes to longevity? It’s really important that we have confidence when expecting good things in our lives because we are serving a supernatural God.
