KCC Founders To Entrust Church Leadership to Son

Rob and Heather Porter, the senior pastors and founders of Kingdom Culture Church (KCC) in Australia announced plan to entrust church leadership to their son Fred Porter and his wife Anna Porter.

After over 25 years of leadership in churches in Australia and the UK, Rob announced Sunday that he and his wife will be handing over KCC leadership to their son Fred and his expectant wife.

Porter’s decision came after years of planning, prayer, and discussion. The couple has been leading the church for the past 8 years and will be handing over the mantle of leadership to the young couple before the year runs out.

“This Sunday, my incredible parents announced that, after a couple of years of planning, prayer & discussion, towards the end of the year they will be transitioning the leadership of @kcc_au to myself & @annaporte,” Fred announced in Tuesday’s Instagram post.

“We honor the sacrifice, diligence, integrity, wisdom, & faith my parents have shown over the last 8 years of leading this church. We really do stand on the shoulders of giants, we would not be here without you & “thank you” will never be enough,” he added.

Fred said he and Anna who have been active participants in the church for 10 years are honored and excited about the anticipated position.

“As for me and Anna we are very very excited. We have been at this church 10 years, since day one (with @jessieroserayner also! ), this church is near & dear to our hearts & we are so honoured & excited to step into this assignment,” he stated

In February, Fred was thrilled to announce that he and his wife are expecting a baby after 4 years.

“God is so so faithful! The road was much longer than we ever imagined. But as he always does he has shown himself as faithful. Watching @annaporter_ walk this road has been an inspiring / painful / heart wrenching / faith building four years,” he wrote.

In Wednesday’s announcement, however, Fred said while waiting for the arrival of their baby girl, they will  “honour the past” and “look with eager anticipation to the future.”
